Hi guys,
I'm protecting some form agains blank fields by using javascript and now I must prevent also against erroneous data inputs. Anyone could help me to use it maybe at the same function I already buid? I know that there is an vb method (isdate)that I tested but I don't know either how to use so far..

its pretty simple to use that function
you just check it on the server side before anything is saved..

a quick google search search brought this up
http://www.w3schools.com/vbscript/func_isdate.asp

No..

Its server side vbscript code. ASP is server side.
Onsubmit in your form is not relevant since that is all client side.

I was under the impression you had some client side validation and wanted to back it up with some server side validation before the info was saved.

If you have client side questions you need to ask them in a forum that covers that.

Also.. you cant use javascript and vbscript functions together on the client so that makes what you are trying to do even more less likey to work.

Thanks again Chris. I solve the problem by adding a calendar button beside the field and turning it read only.

Perhaps you could help me in another issue. Now I need to check a radio field by js. As I told you in the former posting, I have js in order to block blanck fields in my form..
Right now I'm trying to test a radion field in order to test or not some blank field.
The script I have is as below:
if ((document.formprojeto.datavistoria.value.length <=1) && (document.formprojeto.fimcadprojeto.value = ''))
{alert("Por favor preencha o campo DATA VISTORIA REALIZADA. Por favor, para evitar erros de digitação neste campo, solicita-se utilizar-se o botão calendário ao lado.");
formprojeto.datavistoria.focus();
return false;

But the issue is that so far I could only test if the radio field "fimcadprojeto" is blank or not..but I need to check the checked state (yes/no) in order to test the "datavistoria" field.

Please dont ask me about client side javascript code cause I dont know crap. I am a server side guy and this forum and web site is dedicated to server side code.

That is Greek to me...

I really doubt you'll get an answer here. You got ask questions like that at a site dedicated to client side code.
